Stone & Sheera LLC is a housing provider to a wide range of individuals who may be in need of housing. To include the elderly adults, our military veterans, the working class and low-income adults. 

Services Offered

Stone & Sheera LLC is a housing provider to a wide range of individuals who may be in need of housing. To include the elderly adults, our military veterans, working class and low-income adults. Stone & Sheera LLC is a nonmedical facility. Therefore, all our program participants must be able to independently care for themselves and perform all ADL’s without staff assistance. If a program participant requires third-party services on a daily or around-the-clock basis, we may not be able to accommodate them in our program.

Stone & Sheera LLC does not hold itself out as an assistant living facility, nursing home, hospice services, home health nor home care provider. However, in support of our program participants, we will assist with Instrumentals activities of Daily Living. In addition to allowing licensed third-party companies to come into the facility and provide home health and home care services.

Criteria For Entry

●Must be able to live Independently
●Must have stable Income SSI, SSDI, Retirement, VA Benefits, or Financially sponsored by a program
●Must be free of Infectious diseases (requires clearance by a physician)
●Must be able to provide an official I.D. and proof of income (assistance will be provided if applicable)
●Open to shared housing or shared rooms (private room option may be available)
●Age 18 and up

Skin Care: 

Independent ability to maintain healthy unbroken and broken skin,
application of medicated and prescription lotions.

Bathing

Independent ability to wash oneself and perform personal hygiene task.

Dressing

Independent ability to select appropriate clothing and dress oneself.

Eating

Independent ability to feed oneself by getting food from the plate into the mouth.

Ambulation

Independent ability to ambulate and use adaptive equipment selfsufficiently(such as canes/walkers)

Transferring

Independent ability to move from one position to another such as sitting standing or from bed to wheelchair.

Toileting

Independent ability to use the restroom and manage personal hygiene related to toileting

Exercise

Independent ability to exercise and passive exercise which is limited to the encouragement of normal bodily movement, tolerated by the program participant.

Continence

Independent ability to control bladder and bowel functions.

Feeding

Independent ability to feed oneself, program participant can independently swallow and position self-upright for chewing, andadequate digestive health.

Hair Care

Independent ability to maintain the maintenance and appearance of an individual’s hair including shampooing with non-medicated or physician prescribed shampoo, drying, combing, and styling hair.

Nail Care

Independent ability to cut and/or soak nails, pushing back cuticles with utensil and filing or nails.

Positioning

Independent ability to assist with positioning when program participant is able to identify to staff need for position change and when skilled skin care is not required with positioning. Includes simple alignment in bed, wheelchair or other f

Shaving

Independent ability to shave only with electric or a safety razor.

Skin Care: 

Wound care, dressing changes, application of prescription medications,
skilled observation and reporting

Bathing

If program participants have skilled skin care needs or skilled dressings needing attention before, during or after bathing

Dressing

assistance or passive range of motion during dressing.

Eating

Due to safety and precautionary measure feeding program participants are only allowed by 3rd party agencies.

Ambulation

assistance with adaptive equipment prior to training and use by program participant.

Transfer

may assist with transfers when the program participant is unable to assist with the transfer and with mechanical or electrical transfer devices unless trained.

Toileting

  1. insertion and removal of catheters or care of external catheters.
  2. assistance with program participant directed ostomy care when skilled care or observation and reporting to nurse required.
  3. performing digital stimulation, inserting suppositories or giving enemas.

Exercise

active or passive range of motion.

Incontinence

may assist with involuntary fecal elimination due to an inability to control bowel movements or accidental bowel leakage, passing solid liquid stool or mucus.

Feeding

may provide assistance with bolus syringe or machine pump tube feeding or any nasogastric tube feeding, and intravenous nutrition or whenever there is an elevated risk the program participant may choke as a result of the feeding.

Hair Care

may assist with hair care when medicated or physician prescribed shampoo is required.

Nail Care

May assist with nails of program participants with a medical condition who have peripheral circulatory problems or loss of sensation (diabetes, stroke involving limb) and use of utensils to push back cuticles, cutting of any nails or trimming of nails.

Positioning

assistance when program participant is unable to identify verbally, non-verbally or through others when a position needs to be changed or when skilled skin care is required.

Shaving

May assist with any shaving with straight razor or razor not either electric or safety razor.

Participants may self-administer medication

Medication Reminders

May assist a program participant with medication reminders only when medications have been prescribed by a physician, preselected
by the program participant, a family member, a nurse or a pharmacist and are stored in containers such as prescription bottles.
a). Medication reminder containers shall be clearly marked as the date and time of dosage.
b). Medication reminding includes: inquires as to whether medications were taken; verbal prompting to take medications; handing the appropriately marked medication container to the program participant; and opening the appropriately marked medication container for the program participant if program participant is
physically unable to open the container.
c). These limitations apply to all prescriptions and all over the counter medications. Our staff shall immediately report to the supervisor, to the program participant or the program participants advocate to designee, any irregularities noted in the pre-selected medications such as medications taken too often or not often enough nor at the correct time as identified in the written instructions.

Respiratory Care

Independent ability to apply, remove and replace an Oxygen cannula or mask from the program participants face. Adjust the settings, install,
clean and replace oxygen bottles and operate oxygen regulator.

Medication Administration

Medication

Physicians, Nurses, mac-workers, private duty aids, family members and home health care workers may administer medication to program participant.

a). We Will maintain compliance with medication Food and Drug Administration (FDA regulations guidelines)
b). Program participants are required to lock up medications for safety and privacy.
c). A currently licensed physician in good standing with the medical licensure commission of Alabama, may prescribe medications to program participants. A physician order is required for a program
participant to manage, have custody of and self- administer his or her own medications.
d). A physician order is not required for overthe-counter topical medications that are self-administered by program participants

Respiratory Care

Respiratory care is skilled and includes postural drainage, cupping,
adjusting oxygen flow within established parameters, nasal, endotracheal and tracheal suctioning and Turing off or changing tanks.
